TO: Friends of Songwriters Gallery
Dear business owners, music fans, and individual supporters of the
Songwriters Gallery,
First, and most of all, "Thank You" for your support of
the previous events. We can be proud that this is one of the finest
music, entertainment, and educational events in the Black Hills and
the region; and it would not be happening if we did not have your financial
help and your attendance at our shows and workshops. That said, 'tis
the season, the Song Season! We have a great show scheduled with some
fantastic talent. You won't want to miss it!
Yes, we would appreciate your help once again in any way possible. First, please "spread the word", so folks near and far know
that Hot Springs is the place to be June 2nd and 3rd. Second, you may
sponsor the Gallery by donating $50, $100 or more. Please see details
below. Thanks to your support, we are hopeful the Songwriters Gallery
will continue for years to come!

receive a "thank you" in the program.
The decision has been made to have only one major Songwriters
Gallery per year, to be held in early June in Hot Springs. We want this event
to grow and be a major destination attraction. The Songwriters Gallery
will be providing smaller writing retreats one or two times per year
in the Black Hills, but want to maintain the Hot Springs Gallery as "The
One", one we would like to expand on.
On a personal note ...we are in need of a Title Sponsor. The first
three Galleries have been "building" events. Our main funding
has come from workshop fees and ticket sales, and support from sponsors.
However, budget shortfalls have been covered by me (David Lee Brown).
A title sponsor is basically a large-dollar-amount sponsor, $1,500
- $5,000. These sponsors would have high visibility recognition as
a main sponsor: The Songwriters Gallery 200(?) presented by "xyz" and "123".
For the Songwriters Gallery to maintain its affordability and accessibility,
keeping ticket prices and workshop fees reasonable, we will need this
major sponsor in place for 2007. We would appreciate any and all help
in acquiring the Title Sponsor.
